Mesa Arts Center

The Mesa Arts Center, located in downtown Mesa, is an internationally recognized performing and visual art complex. At nearly two-hundred and twenty thousand square feet including a one-acre parking lot, the nearly $95 million center, completed in 2020, is the second-largest comprehensive arts complex in Arizona. There are exhibits for the public on a daily basis.

A large number of performing artists and visual artists have originated or created their work at the Mesa Center including artists such as Jimmie Vaughan, John Martyn, and Mark Mothersbaugh, to name a few. The Mesa Center features a performance area that was once the venue for the world’s largest rock concert and features a large number of classrooms and workshops for its visitors. The Center has a community lounge and restaurant that serves delicious lunch and dinner.

The Mesa Center also has a large collection of art. Many of the works on display are on view through a glass case window. Other pieces can be viewed from the inside of a display case. In addition, many of the pieces in this collection were created through a combination of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own refreshments to the Mesa AZ performing arts center. However, food and drinks are not permitted inside the Mesa AZ performing arts center during performances, unless they are served at a concession stand outside of the center. This policy is designed to protect the art and its patrons from the possibility of damage caused by overconsumption of food and beverages, or by being forced to consume contaminated beverages or food items.

As an example, food and drinks such as sodas, juice, coffee and tea are prohibited in the Mesa AZ performing arts center during performances. This policy does not apply to alcoholic beverages; however, patrons can bring a guest glass of wine to the Mesa AZ performing arts center for a nominal admission fee.

The Mesa AZ performing arts center will provide live music for its patrons and other events such as plays, movies, and other theatrical presentations. On occasion, these shows will feature professional dancers. Performers who perform at the Mesa AZ performing arts center may be asked to wear costume costumes to help increase the illusion of the visual and performing arts to the audience.

Visitors to the Mesa AZ performing arts center will often see live entertainment such as musicians or dancers as part of their entertainment package. Live entertainment is offered at a variety of prices, depending on what type of entertainment is provided and what level of experience the visitor desires. This entertainment may be available for an entire evening, a half-day, or a week.
